Company Mission

The mission of Therone Shellman Media is to inform and mobilize independent thinkers through literary, audio, visual media and merchandising by disrupting the norm and causing one to think higher.

Therone Shellman is an award winning author of fiction and self help books. His journey began with Love Don't Live Here a story about the lives of Barbera and Beverly. The two find themselves being single mothers through different circumstances yet both faced with the plight of raising Black American boys in a society geared toward their demise. The setting is NYC and Long Island the 1970's to early 1980's. Therone would go on to sell over 5,000 copies throughout the streets of NYC and Long Island by summer 2006. In 2007 with over 10,000 copies sold he released No Love Lost a continuation of the sons now being teens. The book went on to win to Indie Book Publishing awards in 2007.

Through Borders/Waldenbooks from upstate NY down to Atlanta Therone had put in the foot work with book signings and taking his books directly to readers face to face. Love Don't Live Here and No Love Lost together by 2008 had reached over 20,000 readers combined in sales. Survivor I Changed the Rules his autobiography went on to win the Literary Excellence Award from Princeton Literary Review in 2010. 

The Secrets of Self Publishing 2 has helped many become self published authors and from here ushered in the era of the author and thought leader to start penning self help books. Third Eye Awakening the first book to the 5 book series was released in 2012 and started the whole Third Eye Movement. 

 

Street Knowledge and All My Tears: Poetry & Thoughts are his latest works which tackle many self and societal subject matter. Therone thus far has authored 15 books and has no intentions of stopping. Yet he has bigger plans for Therone Shellman Media.
